Weekly Roundup - Join us for Souls to the Polls early voting events - Oct. 21, 2026
View in your browser

Dear ,

Have you voted yet? There's still time to make your voice heard now! With fewer than two weeks left in Virginia's early voting period, voters across the Commonwealth are turning out in big numbers. More than 700,000 Virginians have already cast their ballots. If you haven’t voted yet, you still have a chance this week and next before early voting ends on Oct. 31.

If you live in the city of Richmond or Chesterfield County, join us this Sunday, Oct. 25, for Souls to the Polls.

Two events will take place at polling places in Richmond. A third event will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church in South Chesterfield and will serve as a convening site for several congregations that are coming together to vote. Many participants will carpool to the nearby Ettrick-Matoaca Library, about 3.5 miles away, to cast their ballots early.

Souls to the Polls will feature a DJ, fish fry and fellowship. VICPP staff and volunteers will also host information tables to answer questions about voting. Bring a friend, a neighbor, and join us for a day of community and civic engagement.

Here's where you can join us:

Hickory Hill Community Center – early voting location
3000 East Belt Blvd., Richmond
Event: Noon to 4 p.m.
Early voting: Noon to 5 p.m.

Richmond City Hall – early voting location

Union Grove Baptist Church
19111 Church Road, South Chesterfield

Please note: Union Grove Baptist Church is not an early voting location.  The nearest site is Ettrick-Matoaca Library, 4501 River Road, South Chesterfield, open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Don't wait until Election Day to vote. You can vote early and avoid scheduling conflicts on Nov. 3. There are several additional Souls to the Polls hosted by several of our partners happening throughout Virginia, including Henrico County, Hampton, and Woodbridge.  Don’t wait – make a plan to vote early. We would love to see you this Sunday!

We are still looking for volunteers, so if you are interested, please reach out to Robert Lester at
robert@virginiainterfaithcenter.org.

In Solidarity,

Keisha
