Weekly Roundup - Let’s Get Out the Vote - Oct. 6, 2026
View in your browser

Dear ,

As Election Day approaches on Tuesday, November 3, I’m encouraged to see that Virginians are already turning out to vote early in record numbers. We strongly encourage you to join them. Voting early helps you avoid last-minute obstacles on Election Day, such as car trouble, childcare scheduling conflicts, bad weather, or illness during cold and flu season.

This year, we're excited to welcome many first-time voters to the polls. That includes a new group of college-age voters and many Virginians whose voting rights were restored by the recent King v. Youngkin court ruling. To help everyone get ready, our team has been speaking on panels, leading workshops and tabling at community events to share information about early voting and the issues on the ballot.

Volunteer with "Souls to the Polls"

We're recruiting volunteers for our Souls to the Polls events in the Richmond area, to help get out the vote by encouraging faith communities to treat voting as a civic duty. We're hosting three events on Sunday, October 25, from 12 to 4 p.m., and we need your help to make these events a success. If you're interested, please click the link below to register for an upcoming volunteer interest meeting.

You have more influence than you might think. Talk to your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors about the upcoming election. Encourage them to check their sample ballot and learn about the candidates and issues before they head to the voting booth. Then, make a plan to vote early together. A simple text, a phone call, or an offer of a ride to the polls can make all the difference, especially for someone who is voting for the first time.

When we show up for one another, we ensure that our communities are heard.

In solidarity,

Keisha

P.S. Remember to make a plan and VOTE EARLY!  Early voting ends Oct. 31.
