Dear ,

Don't you love the "We're 100 percent voting" banner in front of First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ? Your congregation can have one too by pledging to become 100 percent voting and working with VICPP to make that pledge a reality.

VICPP will help. Not only will you get a cool banner, but we'll provide boilerplate language on voting for your website, a toolkit, and notices for your newsletter or bulletin.

If interested, we can support you in identifying who is not yet registered in your congregation and who needs to be reminded to vote. We can also provide the new district information for your members.

VICPP is offering many opportunities for training and engagement. Sign-up below for an upcoming Civic Engagement Training in Hampton Roads or online via zoom, and for one of the eight (two more than last week) Candidate Forums.

Postcards are now available at the office that you can address, write messages and send to infrequent voters who are people of color. Volunteers have requested more than 3800, but we are hoping to write 10,000 this year. Please email Robert@virginiainterfaithcenter.org if you'd like a set (in batches of 100 or more) mailed to you, or you can stop by the office if you are in the Richmond area.

Become a 100% Voting Congregation & Display a banner to show it!

Congregations that pledge to be 100 percent voting will receive a 6' x 3' vinyl banner with this image to display inside or outdoors. With important General Assembly elections coming up this fall, it’s key for faith communities to live out their values as faithful citizens and voters. Encourage your congregational leadership to sign the 100% pledge!

Health News You Can Use

Sign the petition to support school nurses!

Currently, Virginia school districts have to struggle to pay for nurses in schools, even though our state can use Medicaid to support this service. The Department of Medical and Social Services, and the Department of Elections need to work together to make this happen. Sign and share this petition to ask Governor Youngkin to help School Districts access Medicaid funding to support a registered nurse in every school.
