Dear , For the first time ever, Virginia voters can register on Election Day and cast a provisional ballot. Assuming someone’s address and information checks out, the ballot will count. This is a big deal for those who procrastinate on things like registering or changing their address. We’ve been doing our best to get the word out about Same Day Voter Registration. You, too, can help. Text your friends and family members using one of our prepared scripts. If you’ve already taken our Impactive phone app training, you know what to do. If not, you can use the Impactive video tutorial and enter our campaign code of 206173 to get our messages. HERE’S a link with an overview of how to get started on Impactive. We also have new posters that you can put up at your congregation or neighborhood business about Same Day Voter Registration. Here’s a version you can print out on regular paper. If you are in Richmond, you can pick up large size posters at our office. And if you want to help with phonebanking (all nonpartisan of course), please click the links below for the day that you're available (or both days!). You can do it from the comfort of your own couch. All you need is a computer with a speaker: All elections are important, including this one. And sometimes, elections are won by just a few votes. Your vote – your voice – matters. Thank you for using it and for making sure others use theirs.
Sincerely,
Kim Bobo Executive Director P.S. Registration for Day for All People 2023 (January 18) and the Student Day of Action (February 2-3) are now live. Day for All People will be in person, with the option to attend virtually to participate live in plenaries that we will be streaming online.
