Higher Education in Prison Awareness Day 2024

Registration is closed for this event

Expanding access to college programs in Virginia prisons will require educating decision-makers about why it's important. Now is the time to meet legislators and share your stories to start growing awareness and support for making college programs available to all residents of Virginia Department of Corrections facilities! Join us! We will gather with participants in the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy's Student Day of Action to increase our impact on legislators -- many of whom are new and not yet aware of the federal policy changes making Pell grant funding available to all college-ready, incarcerated learners. Let's take them to school!
