Harrisonburg Climate for Justice Training

What does my faith have to do with climate change? How does the climate impact people in my community and state? How can I get involved? Come to this training to find out!

Calling all people of faith in The Valley! Come find your place at the table of climate justice work!

Virginia Interfaith Power and Light invites you to a "Climate for Justice" training where you can engage with environmental advocates, learn about connections between faith and climate change, focus on energy justice concerns and activism in the community, and plug into projects and initiatives ongoing in Harrisonburg. Sessions will be facilitated by local and state-wide experts in the field.

This training features the following sessions:

  1. "Foundations of Faith and Climate Justice" facilitated by VAIPL
  2. Lunch catered by A Bowl of Good, composting by Soil Cycles
  3. Lunchtime panel on energy and energy justice facilitated by local experts in energy work
  4. "Storytelling for Advocacy" facilitated by Virginia Civic Engagement Table
  5. Concluding strategy session
