Visionary Voices: Meet Virginia Interfaith Center's New Executive Director - Richmond
Meet VICPP’s New Executive Director in Richmond– July 23 at 6 PM!
Rev. Dr. LaKeisha Cook is hitting the road this summer, and her second stop is Richmond! Join us on Wednesday, July 23 at 6 PM for Visionary Voices, a statewide series of events where you can meet the new Executive Director of the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy (VICPP).
Appointed on April 1, 2025, Rev. Dr. Cook is VICPP’s tenth Executive Director and the first African American to lead the organization. She succeeds executive director Kim Bobo, who served for nearly a decade.
Dr. Cook will share the inside scoop about how Virginia Interfaith works with community members, advocacy, organizations, and legislators, to impact positive social change. You’ll learn about legislation we work on advocating for maternal health, higher education in prison, affordable housing and worker rights.
This event is part of VICPP’s commitment to connecting with faith communities and people of goodwill across the Commonwealth. Come hear from Rev. Dr. Cook and learn more about VICPP’s mission to advance economic, racial, and social justice in Virginia through education, advocacy, and prayer.
This event will be held at Richbrau Brewing, where guests are welcome to purchase their favorite beverages and snacks directly from the venue’s menu. Please note: Parking at the venue is limited to street parking, which may be scarce. We kindly encourage guests to carpool, use ride-share services, or take public transportation when possible to help ease congestion and ensure smoother arrivals.
VICPP offers “regular”, “reduced”, and “sponsorship” contribution options for registration. Just choose the option that’s appropriate for you. Your contribution will cover staff travel for this campaign and general operations making it possible for us to share our mission throughout the Commonwealth.
If you find that you cannot afford the reduced fee, please email Tania, our event coordinator and development manager.
Want to bring Visionary Voices to your area? We’d love to partner with you. To host a future stop on Keisha’s tour, please email our Development Manager, Tania Doles, with your proposed date, time, and venue at tania@virginiainterfaithcenter.org.
