In 2023, every single seat in the Virginia legislature is up for election. Since this is the first year since redistricting, many voters are in new districts with unfamiliar candidates. In addition, there have been many retirements, so a number of seats are going to be filled with first-time legislators. This area of Virginia counts among a number of historically tight races, so it is especially important for voters in these districts to be informed. There was already a civic engagement training in Virginia Beach, but we want to ensure that people in Hampton and Newport News are also in the loop as we prepare!

Join VICPP on Wednesday, September 20 to get prepared for November's elections! The training will cover the pivotal nature of this year's environment, how to increase voter turnout, and ensuring that Virginians are well informed.
